What a plant! In the humid context of the northeast, many stone fruits suffer from disease and extreme pest pressure to the point that many growers give up trying. Not so with nanking cherry. These trees are very uniform so they can be grown from seed. They do not interest plum curculio, they don’t suffer from gumosis or brown rot or any other common problems with stone fruits. Sometimes a branch will suddenly die back here and there but if the plants are healthy it’s not a problem.

These are one year old seedlings, and will probably flower in the year after you plant them. In 2-3 years you will be seeing a lot of fruit if they are well cared for.
