These plants are Carmine goumi, which is one of the largest I've ever seen. The fruits are sweet with a sour-patch-like tang. Everyone loves them, and they produce outrageously abundant crops. They are in a special category of nitrogen fixing fruit shrubs that become more fruit than shoot by weight every year. They can reach 10' tall and spread 6' wide, but can be kept smaller with pruning, which stimulates fruit production. They want full sun and good moisture but can deal with relatively low quality soils if needed.
