Acorus calamus is a wetland plant that looks superficially similar to cattails, although it only grows 2’ tall. The rhizomes are phenomenally aromatic, and can permeate an entire waterbody with their purifying effects. The roots are used medicinally all over their range.

We sell roots that can be planted directly at the edge of ponds in a few inches of water and will establish a colony in a couple years.
